WHEN: 10:30AM, Sunday 29th February 2004 (yes, sundays have mornings too!)
WHAT: Starting at Jail Square at the foot of the Saltmarket, site of former public hangings, the plan is to use dowsing (A.K.A divining or water witching) or anything else you can think of, to track the flow of the Molendinar to its source. Its could be a 3 mile walk so no stilletos anyone!! Needless to say this takes us to lunchtime and we should have worked up an appetite, so we can get some lunch and a beer - as tribute to the first beer in Scotland being brewed on the banks of the Molendinar (should an excuse be needed thanks for giving us one Jim).

WHERE: The plan is to meet at 10:30AM in Jail Square (now Jocelyn Square) ...

EQUIPMENT: The choice is yours of course, but you could make a set of dowsing rods from wire or hazel, you could make a pendulum, you could bring a GPS to record the path, you could draw onto a map, or draw your own, bring a camera... or of course just come along for the walk!
There were instructions and links on how to make dowsing rods in the thread linked to above.
