Bridge St became a through station when Central opened so i'm not sure if that counts , the one at Glebe St was one that i was trying to remember
but i think it had a different name, i don't know anything about the one in the Gorbals or Pollokshaws Road (must dig out some books and look these up)
and Anniesland has through platforms so would not count

thanks for everyones help I might get up to 10 or 11

I think the Glebe St station was known as "St Rollox Depot".

It was Townhead 'doh' I should have known that, I also forgot about London Road

here's a question though does Singer count as Glasgow or Clydebank ?

Townhead was also refered to as St Rollox Depot in an 1842 publication.

Here's the Southside Station in the Gorbals.

The new platform at anniesland serves the Glasgow Queen Street - Anniesland line that runs through Summerston, Maryhill, Gilsochill etc, it was extended from Maryhill, through Kelvindale terminatoing at Anniesland.

Trains used on it are DMUs so to travel on further you have to alight there and change to either platform 1 or 2.

I used it on fri to go to central for an interview.

Hi all

Pleased to reactivate this thread to let you know about a smashing photopic site that I discovered by accident yesterday. Have a look at John G Robin's site http://john5798.fotopic.net/

Alicydon...

Excellent site. Just had a look at the Lanarkshire album. Shades of Derek Cross.

Does Springburn station not count at the end of the electrified line? or does not not exist anymore?

Fantastic find, the colour pics of steam trains at Newton in the Lanarkshire album more than make up for my failed attempts to photograph the steam excursion train there last week!

Brilliant find Alycidon. Looking at the Glasgow suburban reminded me of when I was a wee boy and my Dad would take me every Saturday morning to stand on the platform at Cardonald station. It used to have four lines ( two in the middle for the through trains ) and I can still remember holding tightly to his hand as the express train that had appeared just as a plume of smoke coming from Ibrox direction thundered past. Would anybody have a photo of Cardonald? I've got one showing the old booking hall and footbridge but the lines have been lifted. It would be great to see one with a steam train. Wishful thinking!
