Barassie - very nicely done.

The only possible opening I can see is to apply the 2004 SPT Integrated Transport Development Plan, and bring the new Dawsholm station into play early.

Aha! :D

You had two options. If you'd played Arrochar & Tarbet, it would have been Charing Cross to you in three moves.

As it is, you played Dawsholm, and seeing as we aren't playing Cider House Rules, I can play Lochwinnoch and declare Charing Cross to me in two.

Damn of course. Arrochar and Tarbet was always my achilles heel.

It's with a heavy heart and sense of foreboding that i play the only other move left open to me:

Don't be too hard on yourself. It was a difficult move and only the top players ever remember Arrochar and Tarbet. I only know it because I was taught by Humphrey Littleton himself.

So, I take pleasure in declaring.....

Charing Cross!

Good game, we should get more folk to play, set up a league table....

Bravo and well played!

The great Sir Littleton himself taught you? No wonder you're such a tricksy opponent.

A agree a league table may be required...

Why do I get the feeling everyone else on the forum thinks we're bloody mad?

Anyway, good game. We must play again, when my boss isn't questioning why I've done precisely chuff all today......

Thats just because they don't appreciate the subtleties of the game!

Is the game over? I'm still in the Auchenshuggle spur line. I know it's a devious move, but I feel that as neither of you took account of the Clyde Valley Structural Plan, it would be permissable. Maybe I should have said I was there.

Clyde Valley Structural Plan only comes into play when Yoker isn't in spoon, which it was.

The Auchenshuggle spur line would have been an illegal move.

But nice try anyway.

But surely as there was no soup course, spoons weren't available? In which case Auchensguggle was legal (I admited it was devious, but not illegal)

Ah, but I stated (and check if you want to) that Yoker WASN'T in spoon, which given that there was no soup course, was perfectly true.

So it was an illegal move.

Anyway, is there a station/bus stop called Auchensguggle on the Strathclyde map? If not, then you're in a different game entirely....

Me and a mate once played this with Bank of Scotland branch names. I got him with Newtown St Boswells..... :)
