Does anyone still listen to the radio?

Postby Pripyat » Tue Aug 01, 2006 3:17 pm

I tuned across the FM band last night and was not amused.
Anything worth listening to. Any suggestions?

No TV for me. I generally just listen to radio 4.

I like radio four for the comedy at 6.30. Sometimes I stay in the car so I don't miss any! Other than that I listen to Radio Scotland for the news and footie, and occasionally Radio 2 and Virgin Radio. The rest is usually crap. I mean to listen to the digital ones, but always forget. :(

Usually Radio 2 in the morning  TalkSport in the late evening. and/or Radio 2 or 3, if i'm awake into the wee hours.

Although Jance Long on Radio 2 gets right on my (man) tits

Real Radio for the music. I love the Golden Hour from 9.00am till 10.00am. Sometimes listen to their Football Forum with Alan Rough.

Occasionally listen to Radio 2 but avoid Janis Long. She has always been rubbish.

Did anyone watch the final Top of the Pops on Sunday?

Would anyone be interested in a topic on it?

Only really online. KEXP and WMFU are pretty good, although theres so many stations available, its not really much of a recommendation!
Malcolm Tucker is always right.

Talksport, hands down.
Paul Hawskbee & Andy Jacobs have the funniest show on radio....excellent listening! ::):

FM Radio is a disgrace (espescially in Scotland) it's cheap & embarrasing.

I'd go with that and anything Mark Lamarr does. I'm listening to his Friday Night/Saturday morning show on Listen again.

If you have a Freeview box you should run a phono lead into your Hi Fi amp for some good digital stations. they start at channel 700 with Radio 1 and go through to 3C country and Premium Christian Radio.
