I drove through it about a month ago and, having only basic knowledge of the junction as it is, couldn't understand exactly what was now a 'no go' route and what wasn't. Seeing a sign that said 'No left turn', and then seeing half a dozen cars doing a left turn didn't help matters!
You are no longer allowed to turn right from Dumbarton Rd onto Byres Rd, your supposed to use Church St instead. Not sure if there are other restrictions.

Going west on Dumbarton Road at Partick Cross no right turn into Byres Road is allowed. This was changed with the least 'New road priorities' I have seen. The sign warning of the set up is back at the 'Clinic' pub, (the yellow one).

The sign is there because that's where the alternative route is

Yup, no argument about that but why there wasn't more temporary signage at the cross warning of the new arrangement beats me, especially as there are temporary diversion signs in the area which are more than 3 years out of date! Maybe they've run out of signs.

Bells Bridge is getting a coat of paint at the moment. Staying the same colour. But don't look closely at the paintwork... looks like the bridge needs striped back and started again.
I say make it red again

Was it ever red before? I don't really remember that. I'm sure it was blue at the time of the Garden Festival.

I see what you mean. I wasn't really thinking about the canopy.

thanks crusty, it was down for a while.
I had a wee look around and noticed the new transport museum was not mentioned and the kelvin hall is under consideration.
I was under the impression the new transport museum was done and dusted.

The engineers and architects are unhappy with the name 'Squinty Bridge' because they say "it's derogatory"... so that's it decided then - it's Squinty Bridge

A nice public relations turn from the organisers at yesterdays Open Doors access to the bridge; everyone was given a certificate giving the date and verifying that they had been on the bridge before it’s ‘official’ opening – nice wee momento especially for many of the kids who were there.
Kind of ‘ordinary folks’ detailing that Glasgow does often get right on the events scene.
