Mo's 24 hour store

Postby mustardman » Mon May 10, 2004 11:51 am

The kwik-ee mart of the west end! Many a night i have come back from a night out and sauntered into this place, and then Kebab Palace! Veggie Pakora has got to be best in Glasgow..........i think this was the first 24 hour store in Glasgow. Mo is a lovely guy, how i wish to thank him for his continued effort.........................just to clear things up, this is the one beside Jonathan Harvey's funeral directors on Argyle St.

Has anyone else grew up in Yorkhill? Mr singh's..........mace.......sud's???

How come all these 24 hour shops have locks on the door?

Because if the neds start acting boisterously you lock the door and serve through the night hatch.

Believe me, I have experience....

I am just next to Mo's in Finnieston. It is so good not having to worry about the shop closing at ten. Pity it doesn't sell alcohol 24 hours also.

There's a shop on Great Western Road (quite near Byres Road) called McGee's 24. It closes at 10pm.

Always found that one a little strange, although I guess it's because they've got a 24 hour store just around the corner.

Is this the one on Argyle Street? A friend of mine went in and asked for a new top-up card for his mobile, and was led up some stairs and offered a selection of videos and DVDs...

The same thing happened to two of my friend in the middle of the night in there.
They were ushered through to another room and shown videos. They said that they didn't have enough money to buy one so he asked them how much they had between them. (still not enough)
But it goes to show that you could haggle your way to getting some cheap porn. If you were that way inclined.

Do you want to know the irony here ?

I went in a few weeks back to by some porn... And the guy led me through to a small room full of phone top up cards, newspapers, food etc etc

I was disgusted - and promptly left!!
