Visit to the Mitchell Library for HG members 24th April 2006

Postby job78989 » Mon Mar 27, 2006 6:50 pm

A visit has been arranged to the Mitchell Library for any HG members interested. It will take place on Monday 24th april 2006 between 6.00pm and 7.30pm.

Any HG members interested please pm me so that I can get an idea of numbers. If there are any specific questions you want answered, items you would like to see, just let me know and I will try to get that organised.

Why don't we meet in the old hall just inside the North Street door. say 5.45pm or so!

Would really have liked to go along to this, but it's my dad's birthday and I'm taking him out for dinner. Hope you all have fun!

I hope they showed you the bit of the Mitchell from where you can see the Charing Cross railway tunnel through a grill.

Excellent tour, good to see the parts that the public don't get access to.

I haven't been spending much time on the site in the last few weeks and was disappointed to see that I missed out on the trip to the Mitchell. Hope this is something that will happen again soon. Not having much research experience, or many dealings with the Mitchell, a tour around would have been a helpful introduction to the place and what it has to offer.
