I saw that on Wednesday. I'd never even noticed the McLeans advert before then. 8O

Is this an example of carefully targeted marketing by Jonno and Clarinda dahn sarf in the ad. agency?
Ok, it's the standard blank used by the firm until the paid-for ad. goes in but :?

They have cleaned McLean's. Was past today and actually had my camera, but didn't fancy taking a picture in the middle of Argyle Street! No sign of the advert, but they've put up an SPT Subway poster now.

I don't suppose that it's a protective coating :?: Beautiful shade of purple, blends in well with the rest of the wall 8O

Can't believe that advert's gone. Always liked it, sort of a throwback to a different time while yer surrounded by HMVs', Virgin Megastores', McDonalds, Gaps' and other glitzy modern keech.

I've noticed over the past few days similar old adverts to the McLeans one, but they are all about the west end. They may actually not be adverts, but they look like them. Once I'm better I'll try to get some pictures if I can find them again!

There's a nice one on Great Western Road near Clatty's (above the Italian restaurant)
