Hey guys,

I'm mmd, I've been lookin' in and out of HG for quite some time but haven't gotten round to introducing myself - until now that is. This is an excellent site - one of the best around in fact!!!

I'm a Lanarkshire chap by birth spending my early years in Rutherglen and have since spent life out near Dunblane. Still a regular visitor to Glasgow what with family and my lovely better half lives in Govanhill :-)

Evenin'

Ah've been snooping around the site for a wee while noo and ah thought ah should sign up, and say hello, and contribute. I'm originally from up north (Buchan) but I have been down in Glasgow now since '99.

so..

Hello :)

and I found some nice old map/city plan links while browsing the other night, some railway specific and some general maps of glasgow (and edinburgh) and thought they might interest some others. I wondered where was the best place to post them (I couldn't see them being posted already but then I might have missed them.)

cheers

How do Local and welcome to HG... :)

First up if your posting summit new, it may well have been posted/covered already. You could try the search function at the top. If its railway related there’s quite a few threads on that subject, so you might be able to bolt it on the back of them.

Hi,

As you can see, I've been registered (and lurking) for a while now, but only bothered posting today when I decided to add some photos. I went to Glasgow uni and thus lived in the city for a while, but I'm back in Greenock now. Still, I spend quite a lot of time in Glasgow and look forward to contributing more, and discovering more about the city, courtesy of this fine site ::): .

On a "personal" note, I'm 22 years old and into football, video games, socialising and beer :)

Hello All

I`ve been reading for a while without posting or registering, i`m 35 years old and originally from Lanarkshire (High Blantyre). I ended up staying in the West End after I attended Glasgow Uni many years ago. Now I couldn`t imagine staying anywhere else other than sunny Partick.
