i don't drink regularly anywhere (not a big drinker) but i've been known to have a pint or two in the west end one, on the rare occasion that i'm round that way. Last time i was in the back bar, and winamp crashed. Cue me climbing the bar and sorting it. Ever the geek.

The one in the city centre i've been in a couple of times, but even that was a matter of years ago.

The West End one is now called Gallus, and has a shiny new look, with a varnished wood frontage.

Wasn't it also called Bar Zoo for a bit before?

really? Shows how often i'm over there. There were always sexy student types working/drinking there. Always nice.

Is it the same clientele do you know?

No idea, it's only just been done and I'm not even sure if it's open yet! Signs only went up the other day, and there were grand opening announcements on the door, but I was too busy trying not to run people over to notice when!

I do from time to time, mostly when I'm in the city with my mates. I don't really like all the loud shite music and instead listen to my own, and I hate how I can never hear what's on the HUGE TV when it's something good that's playing.

Was in the other week just afore a concert at the Carling.

Good points? I met a girl called Claire in there once (before anotehr similar concert) and she was pretty cool. Plus a few time I was in, there was this beautiful blonde girl with glasses working there. Wow!

Why do you ask, man?
Just curious ;)

£3.50 for a pint of that fruity shite one afternoon (which reminds me of antoher thread for another pub!). Nearly had to get the paramedics to resuscitate me after hearing the price. Then the shock of the actual taste of it!!!???
Never again!

Also... Last time I was at the Solid I had a cheese burger which was dead nice. So I ate it all. Then puked it all back up like 20 minutes later and had to drink lattes till I got the courage to have some cider before the aforementioned gig.
Bad food! Good curly fries!

Used to be pretty regular, but we're going back to the mid 90s here. Have only been there occasionally in recent years.
