Advertising God

Postby Sharon » Tue Apr 13, 2004 8:56 am

No...not the gods of advertising, but the often obscure and hilarious posters that can be seen outside churches trying to lure you accross the doorstep.

First up, because its on my dooestep and is the only photo i currently have...is an offering from Broomhill Church.

I had to double take when i saw the cornflakes packet stuck to the notice board! For a moment i though Kellogs were diversifying!!! 8O

That sign rocks.
I've seen it modified in the past with cunning usage of rocks and air rifles.
My favourites were "Christ Did Four Sins" and "Chris Sins".

"Christ Did Four Sins" and "Chris Sins".

Took me minute to work out how they got a "U" into "FOR" there...doh!

There's one in Motherwell which says:

"All may change, but Jesus never"

Which doesn't seem to be very good grammar...
