Necropolis tour Sunday 22 May

Postby Ronnie » Sun Apr 24, 2005 6:04 pm

Roll up ... roll up ... for the second free tour of the Glasgow Necropolis of 2005. Sunday 22 May, meet at 2pm on the Castle Street steps of the St Mungo Museum. To avoid overcrowding, please e-mail me ( ronnie [at] tartanpaint [dot] com ) for your own personal invitation. No invitation, no guided tour. Sorry about that, but there's been such a huge interest.

Aaaaaand - my book "Death by Design", which tells the true story of the Necropolis and gives a detailed, self-guided tour, will be published by Black and White Publishing of Edinburgh on Thursday 9 June. Illustrations by Crusty Bint, catering by Cumbo.

More details of the book here.

Best, Ronnie

Thanks for the heads-up on the book, looks good.

Website you linked to said it's not published yet. What date does it come out?

Around 2.5 hours. Bring a torch if you're worried about the fading light.

That reminds me, will have to book a visit to the dentist for
a polish. They usually send out reminders twice a year to
the local "undead" :P

Hi

Any chance that there might be another tour happening soon? Missed the last one due to work. Was also wondering if it's safe to wander through during the day in a small group (one or two others) sa you do see some dodgy characters hanging around - not HG member's i'm sure!

Hi Jimmock
The next public tours will likely be during July. They will be posted here, and on http://www.glasgownecropolis.org
If you see this like, er, now, you could come along this morning at 11am for a tour ...
