Necropolis guidebook (free beer)

Postby Ronnie » Sat Jan 22, 2005 3:33 pm

I have been commissioned by an Edinburgh publisher to write a guidebook to the Necropolis, to be published on Thursday 5 May. Now, I could really use some help with this:

Firstly, to walk round with me with a very early draft of the manuscript, to make sure that all the directions are right and that I have included all the best monuments. I'm thinking that this should take place next weekend or during the last weekend in January.

Secondly, to take an almost-final draft of the manuscript and use it for a self-guided tour (and not get lost). This will be towards the middle of Frebruary.

I promise those who take part will get a couple of pints, a note of thanks in the book, a signed copy of the book and an invitation to the launch party. Better than a poke in the eye with an obelisk, eh?

Looks like Sunday, then! That would be Sunday 30 January. The St Mungo Museum opens at 12 noon, so maybe we could meet there for tea and scones (and a widdle) before setting off on our jaunt? ::):

Thanks for all your good wishes and encouragement. And offers of small furry animals. 8O

Don't think I can make Sunday I'm afraid - however more than happy to volunteer for a Stage 2 wander in a few weeks time...
