No, we can't call them that, unless we are a big racist.

That's what I thought.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Yes I don’t see it as derogatory myself as a thrusting 61yr old Jock, BUT let’s be fair they are probably all more Scottish than we are, we could transmute it to McChinkeys

There was a guy I worked with when I was in my teens (late 80s or so), and he'd tell this story about being present at some sort of Race Relations court case of some kind.

The nub of the matter was the defendant was accused of referring to a shop run by an Asian fella as "The wee pakki shop in such and such street".

However, when the owner of the premises was brought in and asked "What do you do for a living, sir?", he replied in the broadest Glaswegian accent you could possibly imagine "Oh, I run the wee pakki shop in such and such street."

Indeed they do, yes. :)

Tea for tonight will be a ham and cheese chicken Kiev and a few chips, with a nice wee piece of iced gingerbread for afters.

Pigs in blankets, one dozen of. Possibly a very lightly toasted hot cross bun and strawberry jam for afters. :)

It's the seafood diet. I see food, I eat it. ;)

Good feed with my son after work on Friday night.

My son had voucher for Pizza Express so we had cheesy garlic bread and then our pizzas.
His pizza had ham, mushrooms, cheese and olives and I had pepperoni on mine.

I made a pot of Chilli for our tea tonight.

I thought I'd have to throw it out as I turned it up too high and it stuck to the pot before I realised what I'd done.
Luckily I was able to rescue it and transferred mixture into a smaller non stick pot.
A little more chilli powder and a wee bit more red wine and it was all hunky dory.

I got hubby to taste it just to check there was no burnt taste to it and he said it was grand.
A moment or two later and i suspect it would have been turfed into the food waste caddy.

Dot excellent , if in doubt always test it out on a relative first, if after 20 mins they are still breathing then it’s safe to eat!

Henrysix,

::): ::):
Well hubby is still in one piece and for this evening my son ordered us a takeaway from a nearby Indian Restaurant.
They do big helpings so my son just about manages to eat his and then hubby & I share a portion of rice and main.
We get some poppadoms and dips but I buy supply of naan breads in supermarket which I keep in house and we have them too.
