My pumpkins are coming on a treat. Amazing how the leaves die down during dry spells, then, after a downpour, they kick in as good ass new. 6 big ones so far, the biggest my be a challenge to lift. Watch out Halloween, followed by lots of soup.

Never tried pumpkins, always thought they were a bit one dimensional, just for Halloween and that was it. Are they the same family as squash?
Thought I might give sweetcorn a go next year. Next years seed catalogue has just dropped on my doormat, so planning what to attempt next year, brightens up the winter when you can't grow much at all....

I have been teaching myself how to pick locks.

It's worryingly easy when you start picking up the cues from the picks/locks etc.

Syringe feeding a sick rabbit pineapple juice with the tablets prescribed by the vet dissolved in it. Apparently pineapple juice is good for them. Tomorrow he starts antibiotics and I've to mix them with concentrated Ribena which will disguise the foul taste of the antibiotic, so the vet says.

Just something I started as a hobby, Banjo .. picked up a set of lock picks and tension tools second hand and bought a couple of training padlocks and taught myself via downloaded eBooks etc.

I've now got about a dozen different Yale type padlocks and there's not one that isn't pickable inside 10/20 seconds, most of them much quicker.

Even my supposedly high security front door has a woeful lock in it. Opened it first try in under a minute.

Looking at most locks for sale, if you want a good one for your front door, you won't get much change out of £70. Most folks are lucky to have a tenners worth of lock in a door that costs £500.

Have you got your mask and swag bag yet ? Maybe a good idea to take a jemmy just in case one beats you - the lock I mean, not the owner of the property. ::): ::):

Ditched Sky and spent yesterday up a ladder removing the wiring from the Satalite dish, re moartiring the drill holes and filing the holes inside the house.
