Just saw it on BBC news. Horrific - out of control bin lorry travelled 300m up Queen Street from outside the GOMA hitting pedestrians before stopping when it hit the hotel on the North side of George Square. 6 dead, several injured.

Feeling queasy having switched the news on. Please check in, people, let us know you're OK.

What is it with horrific events in the run-up to Christmas? Bloody hell. Horrendous.

Pretty horrendous. Was at Southern when major incident declared....couldn't quite believe it when we heard it was a bin lorry.
Went to GRI to collect my wife who was working and it was pretty busy.

Another tragic accident just over a year since the last one. So sad; yet this is when Glasgow unites. I hope this awful situation has not affected anyone or anyone close to anyone here.

The news channels are sick f**kers, repeatedly asking traumatised witnesses to describe in detail what it was like seeing someone get ploughed down, and Kay Burley signing off with "Six people who went to do their Christmas shopping today will not be going home tonight".

Journalists long ago lost any respect I had for them by the way they behave round about the NHS as soon as something like this happens. There's a thin line between reporting and downright voyeurism.

Very sad, got to feel for the driver too when he realises what has happened.

Just heard a rumour that four members of one family and a pregnant woman were killed. Grim.

Not the time to speculating on rumours. The police have stated 6 killed, 5 females and one male.

Give their loved ones time to come to terms with what's happened.

First victims to be named are an elderly couple and their granddaughter who is thought to be in her teens. Some poor soul has lost both their parents and their daughter :(
