Hake baked in paper with a tomato and basil sauce. Terrific bargain at Morrison's today - huge fillets for about £2.50, enough for two good portions.

Some duck breasts Herself sourced from …….. somewhere. (Canal's looked a bit quiet lately ….. just sayin', like!)

Some mustard mash and a few veggies - Nom. :)

Roast asparagus with Serano Ham; aubergine fritters with aoli; sea-bream with chilli potatoes. Enjoyed this with my daughter and her boy-friend on Father's Day - bottle of Glenlivet from her too.

Mum and I were over at my brother and sister-in-law's place for tea, and we had roast beef with home-made roast spuds, Yorkshire pud, and lashings of gravy.

My sis-in-law may be a pucker mouthed moaner, who seems to feel the need to poke her neb into my business at every available opportunity, but she's a fantastic cook.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Chicken burger and cheese coleslaw. Unsurprisingly, it was dull.

I thank you for the suggestion, and I'll file it away for future reference. :D

Aubergine and tomato pasta.
I'm sure it was recipe that Dimairt posted on here sometime ago.
It was excellent.
