You used to be able to see quite a lot of the decorative stonework from the castle in the river at low tide just behind where that photo was taken. It was apparently dumped there after the castle was partially demolished

Anybody know what's happened to the seaplane?

All signs of it seem to have disappeared, leaving nothing behind but a non -speaking role in the visitscotland ad.

Oh thank you yoker brian - that's good news. I used to enjoy spotting it banking around to - um - touch down as close to the Science Centre as it could get, but haven't seen it at all this year. The website still says its Glasgow base is Pacific Quay The pontoon's still there but the signs have all gone. In the Riverside Museum pre-opening razamatazz there was stuff about the seaplane base moving there, but I haven't seen any sign of it there either.

So do you know where the pontoon is now? And where the plane - er - rivers? (Please don't just say Yoker...)
