Postby dingdong » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:04 pm

Was wondering if anyone has stories of N.K.S, I was there in the early 70s when the three maths teachers were imfamous/famous,they caught me in the HLI one dinnertime and made me leave before I could finish my pint.

Nae luck! Imagine those two, G & B chasing anybody oot a pub. :)!

I was at NK from '65 to '71 so some of your teachers will be new to me. We were the last year at Senior Secondary level, after the summer break NK became Comprehensive.

Only story that springs to mind just now was the English teacher who didn't give you the belt when you hadn't done your homework. He smoked Capstan Full Strength and his punishment was he'd breath right into your face and if you flinched from the stoor coming out his mouth you got the belt! If you didn't you lived to transgress another day. ::):

I was at the delightful NK as well from 1978till I left 5th year in 1982.

Have you seen Oban Drive recently - after years of being a gap site, it's all full of new flats.
