Was on Victoria Rd earlier and saw was surprised to see a F reg black hack , you hardly see any older hacks left now and nevermind one with a F reg. Must be a contender for oldest black hack in Glasgow still going . Anyone else seen older?

I'm always too busy watching to see if they're going to an un-indicated U-turn/left turn/right turn and try to kill me as I cross the road to notice the numberplates, frankly.

There is an original Metro Cab that you see at Stobhill Hospital rank.
I wonder how old that is, as I've never looked at the plate.
and I rose up, and knew that I was tired, and continued my journey

A lot of them like to stay within certain areas.
The bloke with the old metro tends to work the North East of Glasgow only and nearly always comes back to the Stobhill rank. Even with the closure of the main hospital and I presume less work, he still likes to work off there.

A man of habit . I wonder about the City Centre ranks if the drivers return back even if it was a long distance hire.

Some of the hacks now no longer have radios and mostlythose drivers will return to a city rank rather than wait for a hire at a quieter, far flung rank, and it's true that a lot of them are creatures of habit.
