Doors Open Day 2004

Postby Ronnie » Mon Mar 22, 2004 2:36 pm

Chums
The dates for Doors Open Day 2004 in Glasgow have just been announced - they are 18 and 19 September. Full listings - when they have them - will be at http://www.gbpt.org/opendoorsday/index.html
You can also order a brochure from there (involves a SSAE).
Clear your diaries ... re-organise your shifts ... be prepared for early starts on these two days ...
Best, Ronnie

Doors was great last year, I made quite a few of them... anyone do the Westend Walk? In St Francis' in the Gorbals the guy opened up all the cabinets housing the stations of the cross... not something that happens often!
here i go, it's coming for me through the trees

There are also Doors Open days in Paisley, Lanarkshire and Edinburgh that are usually of interest, on the weekends before and after Glasgow. They're worth looking out for as well.

Paisley - 11 and 12 September

Lanarkshire (North and South) - 11 and 12 September

Edinburgh - 25 and 26 September

That's both of the three you were after, young Foss.

Who is all going to this event? Perhaps a group of us could go together.

This shows the list of participating areas.

I see the buildings that are open are gradually starting to appear on the site...

Not much so far, but hopefully much more of interest to follow soon. They normally don't have the full program online until the start of September...
