Old embroidered cap badge I bought recently, was used by very senior uniformed corpy staff, such as the trams, police & museums.
It's mostly wire & silk thread, the fish scales are little discs of metal sewn on.

There is/ was a Glasgow Coat of Arms above the stage in the Debating Chamber in the Men's Union at Glasgow University. I've done a quick search and don't see it here.

Here's another one (and possibly the last) from Edinburgh, being a rather stylish interpretation on the west-facing side of a bridge over the Edinburgh & Glasgow Union Canal (where Viewforth crosses). There's an Edinburgh one on to match on the east-facing side:
