Joseph or any of the Mods, is there any chance you can rename the thread as Lyceum Regeneration or something that would suit... thanks in advance if you can. :D

A video of when we found an old 45 Vynil record of Shawaddywady from the 70s.

A history project we are hoping to undertake later this year on the windows of the Lyceum Cinema... the aim is to refurb the 3 ground level windows to do displays on the history of the Lyceum site, the original theatre, Art Deco Cinema, and the Bingo. :D

I grew up in Govan and used to go to the Lyceum, The Plaza, The Mosspark and The Lorne on a regular basis. My main memory of the Lyceum was of queuing up and being terrorized by a guy in a red uniform coat whom we called Bugsy who checked to see we didn't have any frozen missiles (orange juice triangular cartons) on us. Anyone remember him or am I confusing this with The Plaza?

Ive put it up on the Lyceum Govan Facebook page Gary, the person that posted the image is the grandaughter of the chap who was the commissionaire for the lyceum and thats the aunt of her brother in law, both worked at the Lyceum, i'm predicting its late 40s early 50s, yes its a fantastic piece of history caught by camera. :D

Ah - how strange, Facebook mysteriously appears to have unfriended me from the Facebook page!

New request sent!

Hell of a uniform, for sure!
