I recall there being a musical instrument shop/record shop/recording studio type conglomerate there called the Complex. It was on the Woodlands Road side across from Scottish Motor Services. I was once negotiating the purchase of a guitar amp and asked the assistant about HP terms. "Oh yes", he said. "We can do that no problem." Turned out he meant they would keep the amp whilst I paid it up an £5 week and could take it away several months or years later. Thanks but no thanks.

Wasn't surprised to see them go bust soon afterwards.
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is generally adopted.

Yeah, that's right. I had forgotten about that one for the "Record Shop" post! The musical instruments were in the front, the record shop down a corridor at the back, IIRC.

I used to call on some Companies in it a few years back. Front Page are the only ones whose names I remember now. They used to do stuff for Disney.

I don't think it ever got to full occupancy but it was much nicer than Applejack next door.

For many years they had the campest concierge in Glasgow.
