Well found.

According to Kelly's Directory of Glasgow for 1948: McMahon's Stores was a ladies' outfitters , M&J Boyle Ltd were provision dealers.

That is a stunning photograph, not just for the signage, but for the scaffolding & the wee wall between the tenement & the church, for the traffic cones, for the 'found face' on the building to the left, for the supporting poles & the ghostly light wailing between. Not to mention the empty stepladder & the advertising billboards. The ultimate HG photograph, well done you..................I mean it.
90 points so far...............for 100 points.............And it's a big 'If'.............Is that the 'Ben Nevis' to the left?
