I've seen them called pulverisers. Basically, it's a large pair of steel jaws, usually weighing several tonnes and it's mounted on a long-reach arm which in turn is mounted on a caterpillar platform. From a distance it looks like it nibbles at things, but if you're up close, it's more like a Tyrannosaurus. Munch munch.
