So, maybe by next Spring, looks like my Primary School twins will be able to pass
remarks on yet another accessible food and beverage location on Byres Rd.?
Have mercy on me, for there's a plenty enough between the charity shops already.

Might be that 'recent' PJ Champs will become the only normal bar left on
that thoroughfare.

Cliff Richard still does a good impression of Dirk Bogarde. :)

mate of mine was a chargehand for a few years.and reliably informs me there is a very good reason for it being a men only type bar.this would also explain dirk bogarde,s fondness for it... :) ...tennents that is.

Yeah,, he used to hang around Cranstons Tearooms rather than go to Allen Glens school. I think they stuck his head in a chanty when he was there. You should read his book "Snakes and Ladders". He so hated Glasgow. ::):

Latest news is that the owners, Mitchells & Butlers, have indefinitely postponed the 'improvements' which comes as a great relief to the many people who frequent the place as well as the staff/management.

Good to see that Mitchells & Butlers have taken into account the massive public opposition to the alleged 'upgrade' and their own sales figures from the refurbishment of Curlers which has successfully alienated a huge proportion of it's previous locals and its casual custom in a similar radical overhaul.
