Noticed today that the front of the building (including the entrance) has been completely 'boarded over' - i wondered why, if it appeared to serve no purpose anymore, had it not been demolished?

Google (street) map link shows the location, for those unfamiliar with the area, but the view doesn't show the new 'facacde'.

At the risk of seeming un-PC, it could well be some cooncil Health & Safety Nazi utilising his/her "jobsworth" credentials.

Then again it might actually have fuck all to do with the council as some of my more energy inclined colleagues on this board might point out.

if memory serves a plumber used it as a base for years, it pretty much a shed!!

the library was across the road.
Is this gonna be a standup fight, sir, or another bughunt?

It has indeed been boarded over, and is now an advertising hoarding.

can confirm it was a gents toilet. My dad was at one time the attendant there!

not so sure now. It was 50+ years ago when I visited my dad "at work" The doorway looks too wide for a toilet block. It was more likely an Electricity Sub Station. The Toilet was near the road bridge over the Canal
