Until a court decides otherwise Megrahi is still guilty and, as such, he showed no mercy to his 270 victims.

I heard an American woman on the radio today saying " Under no circumstances should we forgive this monster". I bet she uses plenty of Japenese consumer items and maybe even drives a German car.

Jim Swire clearly believes the guy is innocent. Can we have a straw poll of posters on this thread so far, please?

Leaving aside the due process of law thing, Guilty or Innocent?

Not at all, the original and (if you ask me the correct) version of not guilty: the case against the accused has not been proven.

Along with many others I believe his conviction is on a shoogly peg. Even if it was sound though, would releasing him not be the righteous thing to do? Guilty or innocent, let him go to die in peace. The moral high ground is a rare place.
