He's a lucky man ... that spring hit him as he was doing something like 160mph plus whatever the spring was doing coming in the opposite direction.

And I don't see the visor offering the same protection as his skid-lid .. only an inch or so in it.

I'd be sending out for a lottery ticket if I were him.
I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"

I think the fundamental issue there is the fact that he (as far as I have read) cannot talk at the moment.

As for those jungle drums

That'd put the willies up a few of the front runners

Bernie. He's lovely. Leave him alone. Pick on someone your own size.

There are ten points for a win. There are seven races left. Jenson has seventy points. Schumi would have to win all seven and have Jenson kidnapped to take the title.

This is formula one and he is Michael Schumacher. Seems at this stage that Ferrari are only planning on fielding one car at the Euro GP. As for kidnapping JB, is that not something you fancy a shot at or are you still a wee bit delicate yet  ::):

You'd have to crouch down quite low to manage that.

I have a hall cupboard. There's no handle on the inside. JB can bide in there until I'm ready for him. I didn't get the Witch of Wookey job so I'm doubly keen on having my wicked way! :D

I love motor sports but I cant think of anything more boring than F1.

I go to cowdenbeath most Saturdays for the stock car racing and regularly go to Knockhill as well. Its not just banger racing. There are several different formulas that race ranging from minis for the kids (max 16 yrs old), to pro stox for the likes of us, max 1600cc budget formula to saloons, 2 litre sierra based cars (most spectacular) to BRISCA F2's and F1's to stock rods, hotrods and of course bangers which in itself has several categories. You can mingle with drivers and pit crews in the pits and watch 3 or 4 formulas race throughout the metting.

I also love off roading as well. both watching and participating.

Well said Vintagebuff. I used to love F1, but it's just so frigging boring now that I rarely watch it. Certainly, gone are the days where I'd set my alarm or the video timer for it. The governing body can tinker with the rules 'til kingdom come, but really a fundamental change is needed. Wider tracks and longer straights which allow overtaking are a must. I watched the Moto grand prix on Sunday and it was edge of the seat stuff, and fantastic viewing compared to the mince served up before.

Jungle drums beating a new tune - BMW are set to announce their withdrawal from F1. With 3 new teams due for the 2010 calendar will they be missed? Probably find one of the three will buy up the scraps and as such will have a cheaper insertion into the sport.

No official post on the BBC website yet but the News Channel have announced that Dave's jungle drums are beating all the good tunes and indeed Michael Schumacher will be at the helm of the spare Ferrari seat whilst Felipe Massa recovers from his crushed skull.

Link to follow.

EDIT: As promised
