On the subject of tree's, We've got a Witches Bow in the garden? It's two rowan trees that have been magicaly joined at the trunks approximately 8 ft at its apex. It forms an archway. Anyone got a clue to what a Witches Bow is.? It was a neighbour who used this term BTW. Its been here for a good century plus going by the growth rate of rowantrees. (slow)
I'll get a pic of it for your deliberation. Maybe 'The Voice of Reason' can shed some light onto this ancient tree bending custom.?
It only came to light last year when we had the tree surgeon round thinning out some of the forest in the gardens. He was loathe to do much to it apart from giving it a trim, the sensible fella. He'd only came across a few of them in his time, stating that it was a bit special and should be preserved.
