Thanks Alex. I think it is actually a lamp, it is a wee gem and I wouldn't mind having it in the house.

It is tucked away upstairs to the left of the stairway round the back from the model ships.

I know every exhibit there now as it is my son's favourite place for a visit and we are there most weekends.

Old Springburn Fire Station

On the south corner of Keppochhill Road and Springburn Road is what was once Springburn Fire station. Now converted to private flats, it was opened in 1893. The new fire station for the north of the city is further south, in Midton Street, off Petershill Road.
