Something along the lines Westfield to Hollywood…somewhere in my heart..do do do da da do…. :?

It's called Somewhere in my heart, but Aztec Camera (aka Roddy Frame)
had more than one hit. His 'solo' 1998 LP, The North Star, is very good IMHO.

What about 'Love & Money' who had a few hits (eg Halleluiah Man & Strange Kind of Love', and a few decent albums? James Grant was the singer/songwriter. Pretty sure they were from Glasgow, and one of the songs on the album 'Strange Kind of Love' is called 'Jocelyn Sq'. Wasn't that name mentioned in recent discussions about the Molendinar Burn, ie wasn't that the meeting place for Sunday's jaunt?

Forgot to say re: Hipsway. Can't say for sure whether they were from Glasgow, but in the song 'Tinder', which was also used for a MacEwans lager ad IIRC, (but not the same one as the balls being pushed ap the hill), there is a line :- "at seven in the morning, tinder all my money, on the great western road". (any excuse to dig out all my 80s albums.... )

There also 'The blue nile' they released a couple of albums, about six or seven years apart. 'headlights on the parade' was a hit for them. One of their records was an experiment for a Hi-fi company I cannot remember the name of.

Also factfans lonnie donnegin was born on bridgeton,

Angus young, Bon Scott of AC/DC - gorbals

Blue Nile - All of their CD's were developed for Linn Products in order to show off the quality of their hi-fi's.

They were on Vinyl as well of course, not just CD. Any Hi-Fi magazine
worth it's salt lists The Blue Nile's 'A Walk across the Rooftops' on vinyl
as a definitive audition LP. 'Tinseltown in the Rain' is on it - a minor hit?

Oh, an Linn aren't an "experiment for a Hi-fi company" :D
