Has anyone ever been into Govan old parish church, its a victorian church with a good collection of celtic (no not the footy club people) symbol stones. Most are simple stones with an interwovan cross one one side.
some like the one above were reused in the 18th century
there are 3 Viking Hogback stones
and best of all both the stalk of a large cross, and a sarcophagus
all of the stones were found in the 1800's and the minister had them put in the church for safe keeping.
An amazing survival considering the location of the church
