I was out and about with my camera today so I got some past present shots done. On reflection it might have been better doing them when there were less leaves on the trees so I may try and do the shots again later in the year.

The Hangingshaw miners cottages at the corner of Aitkinhead road and Prospecthill road.

I would like to find an inbetween shot with the prefabs.

Aitkinhead road/Kings park road Junction;

I couldnt get the same angle without climbing up to the railway so I had to stand on a litter bin and make do with this angle;

Cathcart old parish church;

And again, the railway made an exact position impossible;

That last one is Charlotte St up near the Barras, another bit of Glasgow history that the cooncil had demolished for no good reason :cry:

If anyone has any good old pics (not from Virtual Mitchell etc) that would make good timelapses then post them or mail/pm them to me and I'll see what I can do :wink:

Wonderful stuff BT, and Graham.

I once did a training thingy in the shitey building that replaced the house in Charlotte Street.
It's one of those, "And if you think it looks bad from the outside....." sort of buildings :roll:

Here we have one of the greatest crimes perpetrated by the council in the name of modernisation. Queens Park Terrace was a block of middle-class tenements built between 1855/60 to the design of Alexander 'Greek' Thomson and is acknowledged as his finest building of this type and indeed on of the finest of it's type in Scotland. Awarded 'A' listed status it was nevertheless bullozed despite howls of protest in 1981 to make way for the M74 extension and the site has layen domrmant ever since.

I didn't get it from the exact spot as I didn't have a copy of the original with me at the time.

Is this a bit better?
