The address was 70/78 Kingston Street and in 1928 it was the premises of Cooper, McDougall & Robertson, who were agricultural chemists, and it was their warehouse. It was accessed through a pend.
By 1948 it was the premises of Keiller Gavin Shanks, shipwrights. The steep pitch of the line of the roof that can be seen on the west gable of the Beco building, would suggest glazed sky;ights giving light from facing south, into a loft area used as a workspace.
