Redlands was the Scottish ambulance service training school till the late nineties when economic pressure meant it was worth too much and was sold. The income allowed them to buy a hotel near Peebles which is fantastic but somewhat isolated.

In MIlngavie today- was doing a wee bit of research on Glasgow's water system and took these, although not strictly Glasgow, they used to be serviced by Glasgow Corporation. I'll post em anyways and be damned.

How old are the old Milngavie photos Brickwall reason i'm asking is the Cross Keys pub is still the same name and the place hasn't really changed much.

Cheers :)

BTW, I know it looks as if the car in the old view is going the wrong way, but this part of the road wasn't actually opened. The bridge over the canal wasn't in place yet due to some sort of disagreement.
