Ever better, Kenny, wide pictures are no longer cropped:

Images at 800x600 now fit neatly within the frame, whilst larger ones will now expand outside of it without dragging text out of the frame too. This is pretty much the perfect solution, so thanks shazza/jazza.

Swear away! Really! No rules on here about swearing as far as I know, and all the members are over 18 so i doubt you would offend anyone least of all me, there are people on here I have e-argued with that are still members so dont fret about that.

I am personally not fussed at all wether you have reduced your number of posts or not, I dont post much myself as you can see. What I dont like is people I dont know in the real world basically calling me a liar in a roundabout way on another forum (that stands for any other forum not just UG) especially when all I was doing was posing on here telling the members things were improving.

HG welcomes everyone so long as they follow the rules, which are pretty easy going. If you have fallen out with people after meeting them, or talking to them online I would suggest not reading their posts and talking to someone else instead.

New sw thing.

The colours may still be subject to some change, as Im finding it a little....manly! Even though it was me that picked them. Well icked the netural (grey) skin and whack a background and header on it...but still!

I kee[p trying to wipe the dust off my monitor only to find out it's the camo pattern down the side. May I suggest some nice neutral Glasgow-related colours like red, white and blue?

I am having a hard time telling the difference between new and old posts. Basically the wee red squiggle, which highlights a new post or message is not prominent enough for me. I am colour blind with red and green (I can see them, but have great difficulty) and therefore it is difficult for me to move about the site.

I don't look at so many of the posts now, cause its too difficult for me to see who has posted, where and when!

The "View unanswered posts • View new posts • View active topics" links might be more use to you just now, rather than trying to pic out the red. (found just above the forums blocks.)

I may look at producing a new icon set at some point... they are a shade on the subtle side.

Oh... this is much better than when I logged in a week ago! Moving the sidebar back to the left makes a huge difference for something that shouldn't really matter. I guess its just a natural postion for it seen as how we read from left to right.

One thing that still makes it less easy on the eye than the old forums is the horizontal black lines that separate each item in the lists of topics. I find it much harder to scan the topic lists with those lines there. I think it would look much nicer with them gone as the alternating shades of grey the background already do the same job in a much less distracting way.
