Excellent Sharon .. thanks very much for even thinking about the request, and for this Über prompt response.

The wee tweaks to the place are ever so subtle so far, but at the same time really effective .. a sign of consummate professionals doing the job, I suppose.

Loving it.

Can I quote you on that! ::):

To be honest though, the forums really did need moving to a new server, and the last phpbb upgrade wasn't compatible with the old template, so that needed changing too. So, we were kindof forced into it a bit!

Now is the time to catch any wee things that could be improved on though.

I for one appreciate the effort, forced into it or not.

I was wondering how difficult it would be to get the link to open inside a new tab .. it just means you can flick back and forth between HG and the link's page without having to reload the page continually.

I wonder if anyone else has had this thought, or if there's a reason why HG has always chosen to use the 'same tab' link format?

Bugs me too. It's just how PhpBB does it. However, given there's a bit of housekeeping going on, I'll add that to my wee "todo" list.

This might help...

http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/links-o ... w-windows/

Can't try it myself as I don't have access to my own forum's server.

Huzzah!!

Links now open to a new tab.

AND they're in lovely standy-out red without having to tinker with colour codes.

Nice. 8)

It's all Greek to me - my bookmark gets the 'ghost' message - cut-and-pasted the http//numbers/forums bit into the browser's address bar, and got the Infinite Eye homepage, clicked on the HG link and got back to the 'ghost' message.

Eventually I tried pasting the http//numbers without the forums bit, and got here.
(Not that that's of any use to anyone reading this, because they're already in.)

No probs logging in though.

You're not going nuts! They are in reality really on the left as of this morning, your laptop may have cached the previous stylesheet, so clearing your browser cache would sort things out. Try a "shift + f5".

Happy browsing :)

Behave, the pair of you. There is a very practical reason for profiles to the left, when bigger pics are posted they are able to break out of the grid. And a profile on the right would sit over this. Which is the reason why they were bumped left previously.
