burger vans and going vat registered?

Hi peeps, would like to know if anyone out there has a burger van and is vat registered, was weighing up the pros and cons, more cons than pros :) ::):

If my memory serves me correctly, you don't VAT register until your turnover is somewhere in the region of £100k per fiscal year. I can't see too many 'burger vans' (independents) achieving that and I could be wrong with the above figure....

How and when to register for VAT (HMRC) >>

The threshold is £70,000 which is less than £200 per day.

Thanx Bridget Doon for that, accountant advised me to register now, dont see any beneft for me though :), also Delmont St Xavier, over 100k a year turnover for an (independant burger van), all i can say is i must be doing my job bloody well then !:) :D :D :D
