upgrading my computer

Postby poposki » Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:54 am

I'm using dell vostro A860
-mobile intel 965 express chipset family
-vista home 32- bit
-processor intel celeron 2.13 ghz
-1g RAM

However, I would like to upgrade my processor to any core 2 duo but I'm not very sure about the compactibility issues. Which processors can I use? Can I use intel T5870? I need help. thanks

"compactibility issues"?

I have good news for you.

Our very own core duo Doorstop and Lone Groover can, for a small fee, greatly compact your PC via what we scientists refer to as 'sitting on it'.

Even if it wasn't, it soon would be after that pair had sat on it.

A bit lost a newbie, I fear...

I have a couple of laptops and I've upgraded one with a new hard drive and the other I gave new memory and a new hard drive. I went on one of those courses a few years ago and the tutor said something about not upgrading processors.

Vista Home 32 bit? I'd ditch that for something else. Anything else, really.

There's scope for putting more memory in it. Try that if things are going slow - after you've run a defrag, of course.

No, they are HDR processors native to these isles.
