Been up there myself a few times. The views are really good especially as you can be at the top in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Nice views over Loch Katrine. I was tempted to see if there was a way down the back towards the Loch and then round the bottom back to the road but my girlfriend wimped out as there wasn't an obvious path. Grrr 
It's always funny 'til someone gets hurt and then it's just hilarious
