A strange sight on west George Street, either the invisible man is giving me the finger or someone was very bored.

Clearly the railings are practicing their mime act. Silly.

I remember the fuss that was kicked up (no pun) about all the training shoes that were slung over the street lamp wiring in Henrieta ST in scotstoun and while back. There's still a coupl hanging up there. I also remember a pair of clackers that hung from wires in Earl St for about 10-15 years!!!

What better way to defeat vandals than by vandalising your own van! I See this van parked near my work, think that the rather worn state of it makes it a target for local ruffians, so the owner has just snapped and gave them a message. Odd indeed.

Seems to be a something in the water* that is encouraging the fibreglass animals to breed.

I always find it slightly unsettling seeing BSOD's or Windows error popups on bank ATM's.

Yup, Bank of Scotland on Byres Road the other day - all three of their cash machines were out of action with Windows 'illegal operation' messages!

The new BT internet phones they've got in some of their kiosks keep crashing with similar messages too.

Though my favourite of these - and I have a photo somewhere, will try and dig it out - was at a baggage carousel at heathrow, where the error message suggested replacing the processor to make windows work!

Gordon

Oh yes, and when I was at Gatwick the other day, their departures board kept spontaneously rebooting every 5 minutes or so...

When I was at Philadelphia Airport earlier this summer, the screen at the baggage carosel had a Mac OS X error message on it. Which I far prefer to a Windows one, to be honest.
(Logout had been cancelled because some program or other wouldn't let it.)
