well said Banjo. They can become more annoying during the summer months ... on a good day we have the windows and front door open and every 30 seconds you can't hear the TV for the noise of their engines... guess that's just life in Clydebank :-)

They're a bit higher up when they fly over my place. They go out towards Lennoxtown before turning back towards your place. I don't notice them either, apart from when one pulls a tight turn and there's a weird howling noise.

It was literally 100/150 feet off the deck .. the noise was very impressive indeed.

I was just getting home around 7 last night and it looked like it was hovering over Yarrows / Plean St , no sooner had I got in the door, it was directly over my house near the Kelso st / Alderman Road roundabout, done a few circles and made a racket for a good 20-25 mins - as Doorstop says it was only about 100/150 feet above the ground. Very impressive pic DS btw

Driving down Abbotsinch Road passed the airport this lunchtime was surprised to see a Spitfire parked at the GAT Executive Park.
Turns out to be owned by Rolls Royce plc of Derby.

Seemingly it was doing a flypast at the three local RR plants this afternoon.
