I have an insider on this one - an evacuee from the surrounding area. Everything's going according to plan so far, but after last time's disaster (http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=7369&start=15) I'm going extra early!

Pass the flats on the train into Central this morning, it looks as though hight winds have ripped some of the black sheeting round one of the blocks. I've no idea what purpose this sheeting serves, but I imagine this might casue a delay if the sheeting can't be repaired in time.

As for a viewpoint, I reckon the flagpole at Queens Park would be decent. I don't know if it'll be open at 7am on a Sunday, but the top of the NCP car park at Central would possibly be good too.

I think they put it up around the levels where the explosives are planted to avoid killer debris. I noticed today that they'd wrapped some of it up on the Eastern tower by putting other sheets around it, like belt loops on your jeans really except pulled really tight so that your belt gets scrunched into a rope rather than being flat.

I like getting as close as I can - I'm thinking Norfolk Court or as close as possible. Maybe someone'll let us in the security door and we can peer out from the stairwell...

P.S. Is that definite? Forge Place was evacuated the night before - did you mean 9am or pm?

Info came from Sauvagii --he lives on the border of the exclusion zone and was issued with the SafeDem leaflet

Going by the lines in the leaflet that sauvagii scanned in, the Bridge Street underground carpark is outside the exclusion zone, as are the car parks beneath Norfolk Court. Some clear lines of sight to the flats from these points, maybe?

Seems like sometime just after 9 it is, then. I can't believe they'd be issuing a leaflet with disinformation if there's evacuations involved.

I think I'll still go for the view from the flagpole in Queen's Park - assuming it's open again!
