Not all that rare (especially in our Illustrious Capital, where they seem to infest the place), but just for the hell of it here's the cab of a Routemaster:

"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

Had a bit of an adventure work-wise today.

Started off working at North Glasgow College in Springburn where they appear to be restoring this MG BGT in the mechanics/bodyshop area.

Then we ended up at a job inbetween Fintry and Balfron. I've been there many times but when I looked up the hill,there was snow highlighting the roof of some cars up a small hill. Bearing in mind this is in the middle of nowhere,I had to investigate. I found some vehicles that have come to an unfortunate end. I was almost joining them after being chased by a big Alsatian while photographing. The guy who owned the cars turned out to be around the corner and asked me what I was doing there. I got off lightly in the end.

Here's an old Bedford lorry,long past it.

And a well finished Datsun Cherry.

That's a cracking find, Doorstop. I love front shot with the chrome and all its reflections. :)

I'm not a fan of the "rat look", where cars are made to look deliberately skanky, but I really like that - looks genuinely as if it's just wearing its age with pride!

If anybody feels like treating themselves to a car from the same era as the Dodge, the set cars from the movie Captain America are coming up for auction (as well as some rather nice classic motors);

P.S. Remember car fans that the Monte carlo leaves from Blythswood square on Thursday night.
