In the modern world they're called Mobility Scooters, Something to with cripples preferring the use of positive language when they are discussed.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

And quite right too. I couldn't remember what they're called, and made a desperate stab at it.

Probably subconsciously influenced by the likely effect of being struck by one of the ones allocated to a couple of disrespectful fuckers in my neighbourhood that bomb it along narrow pavements and expect everyone else to jump out onto the road to get out of their way.

No pictures unfortunately, but Mrs Boxer and I spotted half a dozen or so Mk 1 Cortinas heading north on the A9 this afternoon. They all had "notices" in the rear passenger windows, indicating they had been/were going to a rally of some kind.

There was a Lotus variant in amongst them too; very nice it was!

There was a show on at Kittochside today but if they were heading up the A9 its unlikely they were at it.
