I knew somebody was going to come back and say that! In fact, I never noticed the key when I took the picture, not having driven a motor vehicle myself for many years. By the way, it is still common practice for Ileachs to leave the ignition key in their cars when unattended. That is when they are on the island of course. I can't imagine any of them would be foolhardy enough to do that on the mainland.

Looks like a moile crushing unit. Used to see them in scrappies where they would visit once the yard had enough cars needing crushed so that they can be transported to the steel re-cyclers.

Lovely cars. My swimming coach in the late 60s had a Rover 100. Bench seats and taxi style doors, proper wood and leather.
