I would try and better that, but I like my keyboard way too much and I can't find the car keys. (plus Mac k/b's are like £40 a pop)

That's just an old one that I keep forgetting to throw away: it doesn't even work any more ;p

I've got a Minolat Dynax 7000i (Featured above) it's not bad.

Wish it was digital though.

I think I'll sell the SLR and my current digitals (Fuji S500, Sonly Cybershot) and stick in a few hundred quid and get a digital SLR - I want the versatility of it, and hell, I only live once might as well pass onto the next life with shocking debt that my children can pay!!

Get a Canon Digital Rebel.

They are pretty amazing.

Now see, purplegrum, if you'd come to the Panopticon you could have had a little play with mine... em... Canon Digital Rebel, that is. I see they've finally brought out a black bodied version too... just a few months too late for me.. grrr. The Digital Rebel/EOS300D is dropping in price rapidly as the new EOS20D drives down the price of the 10D, and has a knock-on effect. I'm delighted with mine. I still have my EOS film body, but it rarely gets an airing these days, and mostly for black and white.

There are a lot of nice software hacks you can do with a digital rebel.

I want one!!

I have an A70 just now which is a great camera but is showing some signs of sexual abuse.

I haven't quite had the courage yet to install the hack to make it work like the 10D, but I'm still getting to grips with what it does already. I'll probably get around to it eventually. Shooting in RAW format is great though. I advise Photoshop CS, if you don't have it already, if you do decide to get a 300D. The RAW plugin beats the Canon native software hands down.

Nah, I use Photoshop Elements 2.0.

It's a nice, lightweight application that runs well on all my machines. I found PhotoShop 7 and CS to be complete pigs that didn't offer me a lot more than PSE did...

So PSE it is!

I do like the PhotoStich that comes with Canon cameras though!
