It's exactly the same as the block next to it, except it hasn't been sand-blasted. Personally, I rather like the 'black buildings'.

Pass by there frequently J73, have always liked that sign, have always loved that street come to think of it, mabye even more so since the posting of the power pumping station building thingy, poetry in black & white.

I've been trying un-successfully to do one of these all night. I have been opening an image, creating a duplicate layer but I cant find how to make the duplicate layer black and white. Please help as its driving me mad.

One way of doing it is to duplicate image then press ctrl + shift + U to desaturate image then get to work using the erase tool to colour in then flatten image in layers, save as etc. et viola! :wink:

in Photoshop
Make 2 layers
With your second layer goto>Image>adjustments>desaturate
You will now still have 2 layers one colour one B and W
Get your paint brush tool or eraser and start painting the area you want as spot colour
